Description
My entry for a contest on Tenthorbital.Tonight We Fly was the name of it,so naturally we had to incorporate it.The initial sketch came so quickly and easily, that I had to just paint it.This is supposed to be the Mad Hatter, and Alice in the b/g,although you could just assume they are some anonymous nuts.I don't know much about Alice in Wonderland so I just had fun and put my own spin on the characters.A mix of styles incorporated here, with realistic proportions and storybook coloring.
As usual...Painter 7

The only thing I can see to improve is the water. I didn't realize that was a waterfall effect going on until I saw the little lighthouse and rocks.
I hope you win the competition! This picture is crazy and creative- I love pictures like this. Well done!

I must admit, to you Jeff, that when I saw your thumbnail, I thought, "Oh no, not another fan art piece of the Joker and Batman". Fortunately, I didn't just wander past it, because I was pleasantly stupefied to see this piece.
I first saw the top of the painting with the bubbles and the moon, and the "Joker's" face, but as I scrolled down, I fell deeper and deeper for this great, fun, whimsical piece of art. This is so full of fun, creativity and energy, it is amazing! And that Hat, is simply magical.
Even though I didn't make the Alice in Wonderland connection (if the pig had been replaced with a grinning cat, then yes), but I don't think that is important in the least. This is just an absolute delight to look at without it having to be the Mad Hatter and Alice.
Thank you for sharing this with us, and keep up the great work.
